Thank you for sharing your story! So glad to hear your daughter is receiving care, she is very brave! By this post, we hope to be able to help parents and kids talk about bullying and seek help, as this is a growing issue. Again, so glad to hear your daughter is receiving care and has you as a support system!

My daughter was just released from inpatient care and is currently receiving intensive outpatient care at the Methodist Adolescent Behaviorial Health Unit due to bullying. She attemptied suicide a year ago and planned to try again 2 weeks ago. We were not aware that it was as bad as it was- she is the princess of putting on a happy face. We only found out because she was brave enough to tell us she had been cutting herself. Everything just came out after that. We are in the midst of trying to get something done at her school. I honestly don't know where this road will lead but we have to find answers to stop this. My daughter could be dead right now because of other CHILDREN tormenting her over rumors from a 13 year old boy. She went to her counselor at school 6 months ago and was dismissed and nothing was done- not even a phone call to us- her parents. I meet with this same counselor Monday at 7am- I guarantee something will get done this time.
