Indianapolis Bike to Work Week is in full swing!

BIke to Work Day

Organizations around the city are promoting and encouraging citizens to make healthier choices by adding bicycling to their daily routines.

In honor of National Bike to Work Week (May14-18), INDYCOG is once again partnering with Bicycle Garage Indy (BGI), IndyGo and the City of Indianapolis to celebrate Indianapolis Bike to Work Day on May 18, 2012.

This event will kick off Friday morning at the Indy Bike Hub YMCA located near the Indianapolis City Market.  Free breakfast and parking will be available at the Bike Hub Plaza starting at 7:00am, along with various other activities throughout the entire day.  See a schedule of events and register here.

However, if you won’t be commuting through or near downtown, several other locations have been designated for group rides around the city.

If commuting to work is not feasible for you, you can still join the celebration!  Bicycle Garage Indy encourages those who cannot bike to work to instead replace one trip by bike.  Visit the BGI website for more info and resources to get started!
